security settings - blocked or expired jre 1 year 5 months ago #268783

while sailing I had a glitch then couldn\'t get back in - I am getting \'security settings have blocked an application with an insecure or expired jre\"

I already have sail.com as a \'trusted site\' - what next? (also reloaded Java)

The jre (Java Runtime Engine) is the software you install from www.java.com or Oracle to run Java programs. I\'d try to update.

Same here. Cant get on the site.

There are only 3 sailors, so I suggest that it is a widespread problem.

Yes seems to be a wide problem.

Once you have updated Java, your security settings of your computer may be preventing Java from running the sailx java ap.

Be sure to allow sailx to run and tick all boxes when asked.
If not try going: control panel, Java, Security tab, setting to Medium - allow to run after prompt.

Aloha!

Just when i got a good ranking, i cant get back in? conspiracy? NSA? maybe.

hey ski,
i had the same jre error, and i use 2D.
I loaded latest java, deleted old versions, and cleared the cache.
it worked...
although i do have a pop-up screen saying i am at risk, and a check box each time i log on to a field - but i can get in.

I use Mozilla Firefox and Windows 7....
good luck
