Every 6 months we run NATs for the countries with enough active sailors.
Nexts NATs are due for next month. A proposal: run all NATs in the 3rd week of May (18th-24th).

Countries? At least
- USA
- GBR
- AUS
- NZL
- ARG
- SPA
- ITA
- IRL
- CAN
- NED
- FIN
- FRA

Format?
8-races on multifleet field.

Any comments?

Maybe 1 feild of 50 boats would be better(if theres that many boats in the country) becuase it seems a bit unfair that a sailor could have one bad race and end up in fleet 2, then not be able to win. Also last year didn't the winner get $200us via paypal (i'm not sure if anyone acctually got their money though), will this be the case this time as well?

Please, I beg you! Will you do it for the following week? I have my college exams that week and the week before, so I wont be there at all. Can you reconsider the dates for 25th-31st May??

A 50-boat fleet is not fair.
On a 8-race regatta we usually have 2 discards. Even if you have a bad race and you are reassigned to field#2 a higher-than-average result in that fleet will make you go back to field#1 and the field# discard can eventually be discarded.

Yes, some kind of prizes we will have. Not yet decided though.

Do the races happen in determined days for each country of do they all take place on the same days? I'm back from some business on the 28th of May. After 2 weeks of exams. Same as Frodo. Can the IRL races happen on 28th and 31st of May?

Sounds great -- will be REALLY interesting to see some of these Nats with all the new members we have had lately! I'm already assuming I won't be able to defend my title very well

Second to Rugger's request - Weekends are very tough - Sailing season is in full swing and the 30-31 is our Memorial Day weekend - Its when we honor those who0 died during out 'many' wars and the traditional opening of the sailing season.
