Hey Guys,

I recently sailed a couple of match races and there was an umpire present who must have the screen closed so there was no penalty.

I know we can close umpires who don't seem to do their job, but could I make a suggestion. Is it possible to have, not just a blue and yellow flag, but a green one as well, where a decision has to be made. If this decision is not made and no umpire has put in an input, then the rules engines penalty stands.

Just a thought, I am sure there are obvious answers why this has not been implemented already.

Good idea. It is annoying when the people umpiring leave, but stay as umps.

i think the idear of a green flag is a good idear.

The current logic should work IF umpires are trustworthy.

If the umpires has to attend a phone call or has to go to the bathroom he should first retire from umpiring.

The other issue is that if you get penned and protest, the pen disappears. This could become a problem.

We'll check that.

The software requirements passed to development stated that the umpire process started either when boats touched or after a P was raised.

I forgot to define the expected behaviour of the case when the two events happened and, of course, it wasen't tested.
