The “ISAF Youth Virtual Sailing World Championships” is a virtual fleet-race regatta that is OPEN TO EVERYONE regardless of age.
Throughout the championship two rankings will be produced. The first ranking will include ALL individuals taking part.
The second ranking will only include those entrants who meet the official ISAF ‘YOUTH’ age classification as per the Official Notice of race for the 42nd ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship 2012 (i.e. under the age of 19 years on 31 December 2012).
The winning individual in the ‘Youth’ classification will be awarded with the “ISAF Youth Virtual Sailing World Championships Trophy”.
The Championship took place in four phases - as follows:
Stage 1 (Practice), Mon 7th May – Sun 20th May
Stage 2, Mon 21st May – Sun 3rd June
Stage 3, Mon 4th June – Sun 17th
Stage 4, Mon 18th June – Sun 1st July
Five x 4-race regattas will be raced every day at 0400, 1000, 1700, 1900 & 2130 GMT
All racing will be run in the “Dublin Bay” field (E1-euro).
