Outside of the formal racing for the Championship (which takes place every day at 15:00, 17:00, 19:00 & 22:30 GMT)
there is also informal racing. This informal racing takes place on SailX 24-hours-a-day, day in day out
(over 100,000 races per year and rising!), so regardless whether its day or night where you are,
you will always find a group of keen sailors to race against. Please feel free to take part in
this racing as much or as little as you like! Whatever your sailing level this practice will
improve your SailX skills in preparation for this Championship - and we are confident that this practice
will improve your real life racing results too!
Many users learn to play SailX just by launching into the racing and learning as they go.
We would recommend however that first-time users take a quick look at the following helpful
links (all can be reached from the main SailX.com home page as well). It wont take you long to scan through
these pages and you will learn much faster by doing so. Even if you are a top racing sailor (many of our users are) you will need to get familiar with the controls, etc.
There is also an ever-expanding list of 'tips and tricks' (documented by other users) and you will most
likely find this very helpful too.
